Mirages is an immersive audiovisual installation presented in the inner courtyard of the Museum of Art and History in Geneva, specially conceived for the museum and Mapping Festival and presented during the night of museums 2025.
Suspended beneath the bridge designed by Vincent Lamouroux, a monumental cascade of water, mist, and light becomes a temporary projection surface. Onto this shifting screen, we project LiDAR scans of historical objects selected by artist Carol Bove from the museum’s collection, as part of the exhibition La Genevoise.
Mirages merges physical elements and digital processes to create an environment at the frontier between the tangible and the virtual, where scanned artifacts, flowing water, virtual wind, and cascades of particles appear, dissolve, and reconfigure themselves.
